Tonight we are missing the annual dinner our church has to honor our seniors. Todd and I are so sad because we are missing for the first time EVER and we have some WONDERFUL kids at Fellowship Bible graduating and moving on to the next step in their lives.

Camdon Woodruff is one of those young people who has a special place in the life of my family.  Whether it was church activities or many sleepovers or trips with our families, we have sure enjoyed  seeing him grow up to be a great young man.  There were also the Sunday afternoons playing front yard football or playing in the “creek” down the street which my son says were some of “the best times ever.” And there was an unfortunate incident in an IHOP in Dallas once. I won’t go into that, but it sure does make it near the top of our  Cam memories!

But my favorite Cam memory is when he went to the beach with us many summers ago. We told Tucker he could take a friend and he said he knew just who he wanted to take–Cam. He had never been to the beach, and I guess it was some sort of miracle he didn’t have some sport to play that week so he got to go with us. Anyway, our trip down there was a little longer than usual. We were stopped on the highway  for over an hour and everyone was anxious to get there.

When we finally arrived we went right out to the beach so Cam could see it before darkness came. Without saying a word, just like it was the perfectly natural thing to do, Cam ran straight out into the water with his clothes on! He was so excited to be there and he wasn’t going to miss the chance to jump right in!

Cam, we sure hope you keep this same attitude as you start this new chapter in your life. Stay close to the Lord so you can navigate the amazing path we know He has mapped out for you. Don’t look left or right or worry about what anyone thinks about diving right in–clothes and all! We are so proud of you! May God bless you and keep you!

In the midst of a crazy Senior season I wanted to take a break and share some non-senior sessions! This young lady could pass for a senior, but she’s far from being one. Emily trusted the The Cosmetic Studio (find them on Facebook) to do her makeup for the shoot.  When making an investment in portraits, having your makeup applied by a professional could be a wise decision! In these images Emily’s makeup enhances her beautiful eyes and skin while still being totally appropriate for her age. I enjoyed so much getting to know this sweet girl. As we visited I learned that her daddy is deployed right now in Afghanistan with the 188th  Fighter Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard in Fort Smith—the same unit my brother  was with until recently. I really hope Emily’s dad has the opportunity to see these images of his precious daughter and pray he is home with her very soon!

Well, her things are packed and she will soon be on her way! We met her when she was a snaggle toothed little girl and have watched her become a beautiful young woman. What a joy that has been, and what a joy it will be to see the wonderful things God has planned for her!  Why do I feel as if Ouachita Baptist University will never be the same after she arrives on campus? We love you, Morgan!
